    📌 Allendale United Methodist Church

    We will have a special time in our worship service for students of all ages and teachers, professors, and other school staff to bring up their backpacks, briefcases, or any other school tote to be prayed over and blessed for this school year. Allendale has committed to keeping our children nurtured in a safe, welcoming, and loving environment while at church. We pray for a fulfilling and fruitful school year.

  • 📅 Fri Aug 28 - 🏳️‍🌈 Charity Drag Bingo Night✨

    Join us on the last Friday of the Month (usually) for Drag Bingo with Chatty Patty and friends. Beginning at 6 PM, we play bingo! A $10 donation gets you 10 games of Bingo. We play for fun and sometimes for small trinkets. Each Drag Bingo night features a unique theme and benefits excellent charitable causes. We play 10 games of bingo and have 8-12 drag performances throughout the evening.

  • 📅 Sun Aug 30 - 👑 Drag Gospel Worship

    Allendale’s worship service will incorporate drag queens to help us embody and reflect the image of God from which we are all created. We'll generally have Drag Gospel Worship on 5th Sundays in a given year. If a 5th Sunday falls under a holy season (Lent and Advent), we'll have the Drag Gospel Worship the Sunday following the major holiday at the end of the season (Easter and Christmas).

  • 📅 Sat Oct 10 - Children's Creative Play Day with Wonder Studio and Nomad Studio

    Join us on Saturday, October 10, from 10-11:30AM for Children's Creative Play Day as Nomad Studio brings out its mobile art bus for hands-on painting in the parking lot, while The Wonder Studio offers imaginative play and creative activities inside their studio space on our second floor. This free event is open to everyone.

    Join us in the parking lot at Allendale from 10 AM - 12 PM for Trunk or Treat! Dress up and stop by in a Halloween costume for some treats. Register to decorate your trunk at /trunk or RSVP at /treat if you're coming to trick-or-treat! Allendale will also be accepting donations of candy and allergy-friendly gifts.

  • 📅 Wed Nov 11 - 🦃🍂 Community Thanksgiving Potluck Meal

    Beginning at 5 PM - We will celebrate a meal together with the community. Allendale United Methodist Church is having a large thanksgiving potluck meal in the Community Center to express gratitude to the community. Everyone is invited. You don't have to be a member of Allendale or any church to come and eat. Bring a dish to share if you’re able, but most importantly, just bring yourself. There will be plenty of food, friendly faces, and a warm place to belong.

  • 📅 Fri Nov 20 - 🏳️‍⚧️ Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil

    📌 St Petersburg City Hall, 175 5th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701, USA

    Those attending should meet at St. Petersburg’s Sunshine Senior Center, 330 5th St. N.
     A candlelight procession will leave from the center and end at the steps of City Hall, 175
     5th St. N., where a memorial will be held from 6:30 - 7:30 PM.

     Candles will be provided, but please bring your own if possible.

    Transgender activist Gwendolyn Ann Smith started Transgender Day of Remembrance to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998. The vigil celebrated the lives of all transgender people who lost their lives to violence that year. The Transgender Day of Remembrance has become an annual nationwide memorial for the transgender community.

    “This is a day to remember, memorialize and honor those within the transgender community who have lost their lives due to hate and bigotry,” said Tristan Byrnes, a local gender therapist and one of the vigil’s organizers. “It’s a day to bring together the transgender community and its allies to bring awareness to this important cause and to end the needless loss of life.”

    Andrew Citino, owner of 6S Boutique and an organizer of the vigil, added, “This is a time to honor the lives led by amazing human beings and to bring awareness to the unfortunate hate that surrounds us, as well as the love and support that there is for trans people.”
