WE WILL TAKE TO STREETS IN OUTRAGE OVER
SCOTUS DECISION ON ABORTION RIGHTS

Following the decision of U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade,
Tampa Bay reproductive rights supporters will rally in support of reproductive freedom

Today, at 5pm, join activists and community members to rally in downtown St. Petersburg in protest of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade which guaranteed the constitutional right to abortion.

Reproductive freedom throughout the nation is at risk. Although the privacy clause in Florida’s state constitution still stands, and abortion is still legal in this state, reproductive freedom is at risk. In April, Governor Ron Desantis signed the most restrictive abortion law in Florida history – a 15 week abortion ban, modeled on the Mississippi law in question before the Supreme Court. With the loss of protections offered by Roe v. Wade, even more restrictions are sure to be pushed by anti-abortion extremists in the Florida Legislature.

  • WHAT:           BANS OFF OUR BODIES – ST. PETERSBURG JUNE 2022
  • WHERE:         North Straub Park
400 Bayshore Dr NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
  • WHEN:          Friday, June 24, 2022 @ 5pm
  • OTHER:         Facebook event page  |  Event details

Today’s decision represents an unconscionable attack on our fundamental right to control our own bodies, opening the door for millions of people across the country to lose access to safe and legal abortion.

This decision won’t change the fact that people across the country will always need abortion care, but it will further embolden anti-abortion politicians to push for the nationwide total ban on abortion they’ve sought all along.
