A Flutist Journey: Adrian McGrady

Adrian McGrady (he/him) is a Flutist, Advocate, Proud Black Man, Proud Gay Man, music instructor, and friend. He specializes in various styles, ranging from classical to Hip-Hop, and has experience playing piccolo to contrabass flute. He is traveling down from New York for his first trip to Florida for a concert on Saturday, March 15, at 6 PM at Allendale. Healing Church Trauma

Allendale UMC is a welcoming and affirming faith community. Many of us come from diverse church backgrounds, some of which have been harmful or even traumatic. Starting Wednesday, March 19, at 6 PM, Rev. David Franks will lead “Healing Church Trauma,” an eight-week closed group (limited to eight participants) for those who wish to explore their experience of “Church” and the theology we offer here at Allendale to heal that experience. To join, fill out this interest form. You can also sign up in the Sanctuary on Sunday morning or contact the church office.

Death Penalty Opposition

Join us at Ulmerton & 49th St. N. for a vigil on Thu, Mar 20, 5-6 PM, the hour leading up to Edward James’ execution. We will provide signs, or you can bring your own.

Social Justice Team Meeting

The Social Justice team is meeting next Tuesday at 6 PM in the Community Center. If you’re looking for ways to get involved with Social Justice action, this meeting is for you!

Support the youth and get donuts

The youth are having a friendly competition to raise money for the youth ministry. They are selling donuts for $16 a dozen. Pre-Order donuts here: www.allendaleumc.org/donuts

When you order donuts, you will have the option to select a youth to support. Once you order, and the youth leaders have a chance to process your order, you will then be sent a code to redeem for a dozen donuts.
