Stroll to the polls
Join citizens from all over the Tampa Bay area on Sunday, August 4 for Stroll to the Polls – a celebration of our right to vote!
We kick off at noon at Allendale United Methodist Church, 3803 Haines Rd N, St. Petersburg, FL 33703 with music and refreshments. At 12:20 PM, we will stroll with our mail-in ballots along Haines Road a few blocks to a US Post Office to promote safe and secure mail-in voting for the August 20 Primary.
We will also review the ways to check that our ballots were received and counted on the Pinellas Supervisor of Elections website.
Bring your mail-in ballots and your friends and family to celebrate and exercise together one of our vital rights! Let’s vote early together!

DISCERNING A MINISTRY ROLE:
Save the date for August 16-18 for a special discernment with Deaconess Megan Hale. Deaconesses and Home Missioners are laypeople who are called by God to be in a lifetime relationship in The United Methodist Church for engagement with a full-time vocation in ministries of love, justice, and service. Together, they alleviate suffering, eradicate causes of injustice and all that robs life of dignity and worth, facilitate the development of full human potential, and share in the building global community through the church universal. This is for those curious and seeking to serve the church more intentionally as a layperson. Learn more and register at www.allendaleumc.org/dhm

New “Blessed are the Woke” T-Shirt
This design was inspired by our 2023 Pride Parade float, a vibrant celebration of inclusivity and resistance. We created this shirt to proudly proclaim our commitment to equality and reject any efforts to silence or diminish our work.
Advocating for the marginalized and fighting for justice indeed makes us “woke,” and we embrace it as a blessing.
This shirt is only available to order online: www.allendaleumc.org/shirts
