Our Lenten and Easter series, “Tell Me Something Good,” centers on the heart of Jesus’ life and teaching—radical welcome, love of neighbor, care for the vulnerable, feeding the hungry, and choosing nonviolence in the face of injustice. At its core, this is a faith shaped not by fear or exclusion, but by love, mercy, and liberation.
In a world overflowing with bad news, Lent invites us to return to our roots. To slow down. To listen again for what truly gives life. The good news Jesus shared wasn’t abstract or distant—it showed up in shared meals, unexpected joy, deep compassion, and people discovering they mattered.
During this series, we’ll explore how this good news is still alive among us—and how it might shape the way we live, love, and show up for one another today. Wherever you are on your faith journey, you’re invited to be part of the conversation.
Come as you are. Let’s tell each other something good.

Palm Sunday begins Holy Week with a procession of hope and tension. In the gospel story, Jesus enters Jerusalem riding a humble colt while people wave palm branches and shout “Hosanna!”—a word that means save us.
Jesus is walking straight into a city where political power and religious authority will soon turn against him.
As we wave palms and retell the story, we’re invited to consider our own role in the crowd. Where do we see the good news taking shape in the world around us? And how might we join the movement of compassion, courage, and solidarity that Jesus set in motion?
Maundy Thursday brings us into the quiet intimacy of Jesus’ final meal with his friends. Around a shared table, he offers bread and cup and gives a new commandment—love one another as I have loved you.
Our service invites worshipers to slow down and experience this story with their whole selves. Through music, prayer, silence, and simple acts of shared ritual, we remember that Jesus washed every disciple’s feet—even Judas’s. The good news is that grace does not draw boundaries. Love bends low, even in the presence of betrayal.
Join us at 6 PM in the Sanctuary as we gather around this ancient story of table fellowship, service, and radical love.
Good Friday is the day the church pauses to remember the suffering and execution of Jesus. The story brings us face to face with the realities of injustice, political violence, and the cost of speaking truth in a world that resists it.
Through scripture, prayer, music, and moments of reflection, we remember the final hours of Jesus’ life and the courage it took to remain rooted in love even in the face of cruelty.
We will gather together with friends from St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church and McCabe United Methodist Church for this shared time of remembrance and reflection.
Join us at 12 PM in the Sanctuary as we hold space for grief, honesty, and the difficult road that leads toward resurrection.
An “egg”cellent time with crafts, games, activities, snacks, and of course, Easter Eggs and the Easter Bunny! Bring your easter basket. The festivities begin at 10 AM with egg hunts for different ages throughout the morning. Allergen-safe options are available, too.

Join us early on Easter morning for a Sunrise Service starting at 7 AM at Crescent Lake Park, where several United Methodist congregations from across the area will gather together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus as the day begins. There is something powerful about greeting Easter at dawn—being outdoors as the light slowly fills the sky and remembering the story of that first Easter morning when the women came to the tomb at daybreak and discovered new life.
This gathering is calm, simple, and open to everyone. You do not have to belong to a church to attend. Whether you come regularly to worship or are simply looking for a peaceful way to begin Easter morning, you are welcome. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join neighbors from across our community as we share prayers, music, and the Easter story surrounded by the beauty of creation.
Later that morning at 10:30 AM, we will continue the celebration with our Easter Worship Service in the Sanctuary at Allendale. Our Easter Choir will help lead a joyful service filled with music, hope, and the proclamation of resurrection. We hope you will join us as we mark this day of good news and new life together!
At 10:30 AM on the Sunday after Easter, the celebration continues in a joyful and uniquely Allendale way. Join us in the sanctuary as drag artists help lead worship in a service that celebrates resurrection, authenticity, and the sacred worth of every person.
Through music, creativity, and reflection, this service reminds us that the Easter story is about new life breaking through old barriers. All are welcome to come as you are and experience a worship service that is vibrant, inclusive, and full of joy.
