Every year, Allendale United Methodist Church celebrates pride month in June! No matter your sexual orientation or gender identity you are God’s beloved and are welcome here! The people of Allendale commit to support and celebrate same-sex marriages.

We march in the Pride Parade together in solidarity with signs of love and affirmation for the LGBTQ community in the St. Pete area and beyond.

Not a Kingdom of Power—But a Kindom of Belonging

Celebrate radical belonging with our KINDOM shirt—a colorful, inclusive design that centers people from all walks of life. Surrounding the bold block letters of “KINDOM” are illustrations of individuals of diverse races, genders, and abilities—all beneath a bright rainbow and intertwined with vibrant, growing branches.

This shirt is a visual declaration of what we believe the world can look like when love, justice, and solidarity are at the center.

Why “Kindom” Instead of “Kingdom”?
Progressive and inclusive faith communities often use the word “kindom” as a conscious alternative to “kingdom.” The word “kingdom” reflects hierarchy, domination, and power systems often used to oppress. But “kindom” imagines something different: a world built on kinship, mutual care, and shared liberation. It reflects Jesus’ vision of community, where no one is left out and everyone belongs.
